According to Plato, this perfect form of Beauty can be found by examining one’s soul using reason and wisdom. Emerson on the other hand believes that the way to transcend the soul is to go forth into nature and experience its beauty in all the senses. He believes nature’s beauty will allow man to find wisdom and to be closer to God. He writes, â€Å"in the woods, we return to reason and faith. Plato says that transcendence cannot occur by looking at the things in nature because they are merely imitations of the form of Beauty and will not recall the real thing. He has a family that he destroys by having an affair and getting his mistress pregnant. In August Wilson’s Fences, the character who is most bound by societal expectations is Troy. Troy is most bound by societal expectations because he couldn’t live out his dream of becoming a star baseball player because of his past. He refuses to believe that society has changed a lot since then.He settles with what he grew up knowing about society. When Cory tells him he wants to be a football player, he basically tells him to choose another path. Troy settles with being a garbage lifter because he feels that’s what is expected of him. He regrets his past and not becoming a pro baseball star. He takes it out of Cory because he had big dreams like him and he didn’t make it. The character who is least bound by societal expectations is Cory. He is least bound by societal expectations because he is trying to go out and make it playing football.He tries not to pay attention to Troy and his beliefs that he won’t make it because of the society. Cory wants to live outside of the societal expectations and play football in college. In the play Fences Troy failed to see how much society has changed since he was younger. He takes it out on his son Cory who has realized that society has changed and has big dreams. All of Troy’s actions in this play were based on the way he feels about societal expectations and he destroyed his family.

Police and other judicial powers believe that studying a rappers lyrics and videos is almost like giving a public confession, little do they know the whole story behind the murder   is just for entertainment. They are not arresting artists that are publicly advertising drug use in their videos and daily life. Rappers only speak violently because thats what the youth likes to hear. I know for a fact 85 percent of people my age has a music library that is at least 50-90 percent violent lyrics. It is only for business purposes only, it is only to make money, why because they know that is what the kids like now these days. Throughout history, many writers have written about murders. Shakespeare wrote about two lovers who were killed, he was not put to a trail for why he witnessed a murder or how does he know all this why? because everyone knew it was fiction. Even now there is a new artist Bobby Shmurda, he made a song Hot N*gga   where he even states I have been selling crack since like the 5th grade   I do not see him on the news for drug distribution. They want to examine rap lyrics but not everyones rap lyrics. It is only fair if it is done to all not some, because innocent people are being put into prison, wasting their lives. These people are not even given short sentences, Vontae Skinner was given 30 years for an alleged murder due to his rap lyrics. This whole using rap lyrics in trail is stupid. Rap lyrics could easily be misinterpreted as you can see. Everyone and anyone has caught themselves writing a quick rap and putting : shooting, busting, beating, smoking, and drinking. What they need to do in New Jersey is put a self defense law in effect instead of wanting to listen to rap music for potential murderers. The judicial system really needs to reevaluate their priorities, this is really ridiculous, I really do not agree with this nonsense.
